Standards of Conduct

A.K.A The Rules

Alright, you can’t have a good, fair, or fun list without a few basic rules. I’ve tried life without rules, and it stinks. These are just to make sure the list runs smoothly, and that everyone can have a fun environment to play in. Unfortunately, as problems do arise, I may have to add more rules to the game.

1. No flaming – treat everyone with respect, and it should be reciprocated.
2. No Omniscient or Power moves, that is don’t talk, think, or act for any other character. This is to include those pesky empaths and psychics, we will not have characters that have the special ability for mind control, mind read, or sense thoughts (other than the general unease of the room or space... I didn’t forget about Quatre’s uchuu no kokoro).
   Here’s a few examples of what not to do.
• Jade is thinking for Rose
  Jade: "This is the silver key," Jade said, noticing the excitement in Rose’s eyes as he handed the key to her.
• Rose is talking and acting for Jade
  Rose: "What am I supposed to do with it?" Rose asked looking at the key in her hand briefly. She looked back at Jade, who shrugged and said, "I dunno. You’re supposed to know. You’re the chosen one."
• Jade is revealing his hidden powers?
  Rose: Rose slumped on the floor in front of Jade, silver key dangling from her fingers. "I don’t know what to do with this!" She cried as she tossed it in the air. "It’s hopeless."
  Jade: Jade looked on in shock as the key began to glow. He reached out to touch Rose, but she was standing too far away, reaching for the glowing key, as if her body knew what to do, even though her mind didn’t. "Princess, be careful!" he said, gesturing towards her with his hand as she hovered over the new portal generated by the key. Energy flowed from his hand, gently pushing her out of the way as a raven flew in from the portal.
3. Each Role Player may only have one character. In extreme cases, exceptions will be given, in very special circumstances.
4. No role playing that is Out of Character: Any OOC post (announcements, questions, general things that affect the whole list) should have OOC at the beginning of the subject line. OOC: Question about new Scenario.
5. If at any time you need a break/vacation from the list, and you can’t find a way to write you character out of the plot yourself (Emergencies happen.) please contact the list owner privately, when it is convenient. Any prolonged period of absence (Nine months?) without notification, it will be assumed that you resigned, and the character (if is one of the canon characters) will be available again.
6. All In Character posts must be written in third person, past tense, and in English. Unfortunately I don’t speak Japanese, this is an English list, and the occasional, well-known Japanese term may fly out a time or two, but those are covered in the glossary, that may be added to in time, that you can find here.
7. This is a predominately Yaoi list, but the odd straight pairing should be tolerated, in that we must observe rule number one. However, since it is a Yaoi list, and the characters may get a little citrusy from time to time, if you find this offensive, find yourself another list. Likewise, if you enjoy this a little too much, remember, lime is good, lemon is over the top and will not be acceptable. No explicit Sex, please. Save that for a good fanfic, I will accept side fics to host here.

I don’t ask much, open mind, open heart. This is supposed to be fun, so we should do what ever is necessary to make sure that it is possible for everyone to have it.
